Some Encouragement For Your Journey
Faith That Reaches for Jesus
“And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.” — Mark 5:34, KJV
For twelve years, the woman with the issue of blood had suffered. She had sought help and spent everything she had, yet her suffering continued. When she heard about Jesus, she reached through the crowd to touch His garment, believing He could heal her.
Jesus stopped. In a crowd of people, He made room for her story. The woman who approached Him trembling heard Him call her “Daughter.” Along with healing, she received a tender assurance that she belonged.
Her faith did not earn His compassion. It brought her to the One who had the power to help her.
We can reach for Jesus, too—with honest prayers, unanswered questions, and hearts that are tired of hurting. Faith does not require us to pretend we are well. We can tell Him exactly where it hurts.
Healing may not come in the way or timing we hope for, and continued suffering does not mean our faith is inadequate. We can trust His love as we pray, seek care, and allow others to walk beside us.
You do not have to hide your pain to come into His presence. Reach for Him just as you are.

What does Jesus calling this woman “Daughter” reveal about His heart toward people who feel unseen?
Prayer
Jesus, give me courage to reach for You and tell You where I hurt. Help me trust Your compassion while I wait, and receive the support You provide. Thank You that I am seen, known, and loved. Amen.

The name reflects the heart of our devotional community: women who desire to grow deeper in Scripture, draw closer to Jesus, and be reminded again and again of who they are in Him.
As a DEVA, you are part of a sisterhood of women walking through different seasons, carrying different stories, but gathering around the same truth — God is faithful, His Word is alive, and His grace meets us exactly where we are.
Each month, our DEVAs receive a little encouragement delivered straight to their mailbox — thoughtfully created devotionals, Scripture cards, reflection prompts, journaling moments, and special touches designed to help you slow down, open your Bible, and spend intentional time with your Father.
Being a DEVA isn't about having perfect faith or having everything figured out.
It's about showing up.
It's about opening your heart.
It's about choosing truth when life feels heavy.
It's about growing, healing, surrendering, and becoming the woman God has called you to be.
